Andorra is situated in the eastern Pyrenees, bordered by France to the north and east and Spain to the south and west. It is roughly halfway between Barcelona and Toulouse. The Andorra surface is 468 km2. The landscape is mountainous with narrow valleys in between. Ski resorts and the spa town of Les Escaldes are Andorra’s main attractions. Summers are cool and dry in the uplands, although warm in the valleys; winters are cold and snowy, but it is often sunny. The terrain and the climate together make for excellent skiing.  |
